Meet Adrianna. She’s a high school senior from Caston High School. Adrianna plans on attending Purdue University, so we started her senior pictures with a indoor studio portion, and she wore her Purdue University shirt. After the indoor session we started her modern country senior pictures on her family farm, just outside of Kewanna. We started the session shooting her horses with beautiful golden sunlight, which we all know is my absolute most favorite time of day to shoot. Horses have been something that I have shot several times. Every time I’ve shot horses, they get easier to shoot. Her horse was probably the easiest horse I’ve ever shot. He was very relaxed. He didn’t go all crazy with the reflector, which I think has to do a lot with training. She has trained a nice horse. We also shot on a tractor for her modern country senior pictures, which was a must for Adrianna and her dad. She said she could not have modern country senior pictures without tractors because farming and tractors are a big part of her life.
One thing Adrianna told me right off the bat was that she wanted a stress free senior experience, which I like to think all of my senior experiences are stress free, but we kept it really simple, and all of the locations were shot on the family farm. Which was her request! We took some pictures in her senior car, and added her awards from sports over the years. We ended the shoot in a wheat field that was really, really tall. I was limited in our poses since it was so tall. We found a spot that must’ve been damaged from a storm and I had her lay down, because the wheat was already laying flat, we also incorporated a chair that she brought to the wheat field.
I’m very pleased with the outcome of her modern country senior pictures not knowing exactly what I was getting myself into on the farm really kept me on my toes and was a nice change of pace.
