Photography is so much more than getting the perfect shot. It’s getting to know each and every senior, making their personalities shine, documenting an important milestone, and best of all, celebrating female beauty.
What inspired me to become a photographer back in 2011? I don’t have many photos from my childhood, so I made it my mission as a mom to document my family’s life in pictures.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and an even more amazing Easter! This Monday is going to be a hard Monday I decided to take the weekend off and relax and enjoy being with my family. So i’m up right now writing this blog post at 6:00 am and the Rochester kids first day back from their 2 week spring break is today. This is going to be a fun morning I can already see it now. Any how Last week I spoke about a new car I was getting. This new car kinda feel into my lap. Seriously I have always wanted to keep my other car until the wheels fell off. She was paid for and it was so nice not having a car payment. Well 2 Thursday ago she died on me. and that scared the crap out of me. What if she would have dies the weekend before when I had a wedding to shoot. My husband and I knew that that couldn’t happen. So that weekend I started looking for new cars. I have already had my heart set on the Ford flex. I also knew I didn’t want the color black or silver. I also knew I wanted leather, sunroof, standard rims, and glitter in the paint. all things my last car didn’t have and I have realized are all things I really want. I had my mind set on a white Ford flex. There was a mediterranean blue one on my way home in Plymouth, It has been there for about 2 weeks. I never stopped because I just knew I didn’t want blue. As I drove up to her she just sparkled, and as I got closer to her. I fell in love! I love the color, It reminds me of the beach and if you know me you know I love the beach! I test drove her and she passed all test except….. no sunroofs. She had everything else. We left and I went to Rochester Ford they have had a white one that I knew had everything I wanted. When I arrived I didn’t see the car. They said the boss took it on vacation. that irritated me and now was out of the question. I went home and looked on the internet. I went to the official Ford website and put in my mediterranean blue and one popped up 2 hours away in Michigan It had everything, and not only did it have a sunroof it has 4!!! and a extra bonus for MaKenna it has DVD in the back headrest. We drove up there that next day and we bought her!! My hubby and even my sister-in-law has said “Katrina that car just fits you!” I’m so glad I didn’t just settle. This year i’m finally doing what I want to do and trying things that I want to try even if it scares me. So far it hasn’t disappointed me and it feels so good going to what I want. I highly recommend it.
