This month I debut my 2013 Calendar! For most it is really no big deal, but for my husband and I these calendars mean the world to us. I have been making these simple calendars for 6 years now. From the time I had pictures of my little one we have had a calendar on our walls. Back-story of the calendar : 6 years ago I wanted to give my parents a gift that would mean the world to them something that they would cherish for many years. That is when the Calendar was born. something so simple brings my folks and I so much joy. A little bit about the calendar, They are always a year behind. I wanted them to see the calender and bring back memory’s and be able to see the changes over the years. My ocd kinda kicks in and I try my hardest to but the pictures in the calendar by the month they were taken so they are as accurate as possible. Sometimes that just isn’t possible and I just deal with it. When I started making these calendar I ordered 2 one for us and one for my folks. The past several years the order is up to 5. My parents both want their own now. They don’t want to share! I make one for our house and one for my work place, and I have been sending one to my brother as well since MaKenna is his only niece!
The pictures above was actually taken the first week in January last year. Crazy the type of weather we had last winter. Not very often we can get away with no coat in January.
Yesterday I decided to get out all the calendars over the years and reminisce! Crazy how fast time fly’s by. Couldn’t resist a little bokeh fun either!!
If you have never done a calendar, Give it a try this year. It is still January! I know I have enjoyed looking at our calendars every year. I usually keep my Calendar simple and order them from Shutterfly. My first few calendar was made from Walgreen’s. Nothing wrong with them, I just wanted a better quality product over the years.
