Photography is so much more than getting the perfect shot. It’s getting to know each and every senior, making their personalities shine, documenting an important milestone, and best of all, celebrating female beauty.
What inspired me to become a photographer back in 2011? I don’t have many photos from my childhood, so I made it my mission as a mom to document my family’s life in pictures.
Rochester High School Prom came and went a few weeks ago! My daughter was lucky enough to be able to attend with a group of girlfriends. All the girls were so laid back and I was so appreciative about that because I can be wound a little tight at times! As a mom and photographer i’m so glad we were giving a test run during my daughter’s sophomore year because next year we will 100% have a tighter timeline for the Rochester High School Prom.
Our day started early because our hair stylist is over an hour away. Fun fact the same hair stylist did my hair for prom too so that was really special. Salon Chic is amazing and she nailed
Kenna hair for Rochester High School Prom. Next appointment was professional makeup with my trusted makeup artist Girl on the Glow. MaKenna also went with a nude pink gel polish for her nails from Long nails. Her dress was a Windsor dress, that fit her perfectly. One of the many things I love about my daughter style is that she is truly a natural beauty. MaKenna loves fashion and makeup. She does it just right. She makes it look so effortlessly and it comes across like she not trying hard.
While I don’t know Isabell and Haley that well just yet, I know they have been kind to my daughter. I absolutely love each of their style. Isabell’s style seems bold and simple. I think that is hard to pull off. It was fun photographing her. She has a pretty bad ass look and her confidence is undeniable. Haley’s look and style for prom was elegant, timeless and dainty. I love the loose curls that framed her face! Simply perfection.
What I won’t forget about my daughter first Rochester High School Prom was the getting ready process. We had multiply curling irons going, music blasting. We were all curing hair and having fun conversations. There was lots of giggling happening in each of the rooms!
The hubby and I were the official drivers of the evening! We hosted the girls overnight because we wanted to be sure none of the girls had to worry about those details. I’m sure I was most excited about that! I had to be on my best behavior. If you’re a parent, I know you get it.
There was so much planning that happened before prom and it was unfortunately over before we knew it. The girls has so much fun during prom and that was all we could have asked for!
