Photography is so much more than getting the perfect shot. It’s getting to know each and every senior, making their personalities shine, documenting an important milestone, and best of all, celebrating female beauty.
What inspired me to become a photographer back in 2011? I don’t have many photos from my childhood, so I made it my mission as a mom to document my family’s life in pictures.

Senior year for moms begins long before the cap and gown. It starts in the quiet realization that everything is about to change. The routines you have known for years begin to shift, and suddenly every moment feels a little more meaningful. There is excitement, pride, and a deep sense of nostalgia all happening at once. You find yourself wanting to hold onto it while also celebrating everything your daughter is becoming. This season is not just about her milestone. It is about your journey as her mom too.

When I think back on my own daughter’s senior year, I remember how intentional we were. The white graduation dress. The prom dress that felt like a dream. The senior sessions that documented who she was in that exact season of life. We chose to celebrate it fully, and those choices became part of our family’s story. These moments matter because they turn into heirlooms you will come back to again and again. Senior year for moms is not just about getting through the year. It is about preserving it with purpose.

If I could go back, I would say yes to all of it again. The planning, the outfits, the sessions, the time spent creating something beautiful out of an already meaningful season. Every photo we took became a tangible reminder of who she was before everything changed. Those images now carry a weight that I could not have fully understood in the moment. They are not just pictures. They are part of her legacy and mine as her mom. That is the power of choosing to document senior year with intention.

But if I am honest, there is one thing I would do differently. I would slow down and be even more present in the in-between moments. Senior year for moms is filled with things you cannot plan for. The late-night conversations, the quiet car rides, the small moments that feel ordinary until they are gone. Those are the moments that stay with you. The photos matter, but the feeling of being fully present matters just as much. You do not have to choose between capturing it and living it. You can do both.

If you are in this season right now, I want you to know this. You are not just planning senior photos. You are celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime milestone for your daughter and for your family. Senior year for moms is a season that deserves to be experienced fully and preserved beautifully. Say yes to the moments that matter. Be present while you are in them. And when you are ready to create something that will last far beyond this year, I am here to guide you through it with intention and care.
